One week later I am finally to a point of utilizing this wonderful site that Mercedes set up for me. The past couple of days have been really good. Today we start "booster" shots to enhance my own systems recovery. Luckily, these can be given through my existing site, so no pain. I am all about that!
Most days, I can now have visitors. I still have to wear a mask, so give us a minute, but we love short visits. I do not have any kind of immune system, so only come if you are 100% healthy. I caught a bug earlier in the process and they were some of the most horrible days that I have experienced. It takes so little to have such a great effect.
The cards have been such a blessing. Thank you to all of you that have been sending them so lovingly. They are such a source of encouragement.
I will try to update this site for those of you that want the info. I fell behind answering e-mails, but I do appreciate hearing from you. I keep getting asked what people can do for us. Truly, there is nothing that we need but your prayers. We are waiting for my system to rebuild before they can do another bone marrow biopsy to check our success. We really need for this one to be successful. Please keep us in your prayers.
I have been surrounded by incredible nurses and staff. My daily nurse prays with me in the morning. How wonderful is that?!? So many blessings. I'm pooped. So this is all for now, but I will try to keep this updated. Hugs to you all. You have no idea how much I love you!
