You never know...

Disregard the last blog. We went in for a routine blood check and doctor visit on Monday. We ended up starting chemo and staying for the next four hours. Of course, we hadn't planned on that, so it made for a very long four hours. We did get to know our "neighbors". Terra and I were very tired and emotionally drained, which means in the true fashion of a "Casebolt", you laugh hysterically at nothing at all. Which we did. That got the rest of the treatment room wanting whatever was in my IV bag. Making that lemonaide out of lemons. We were supposed to celebrate Terra's birthday that evening, but I had to have another round of chemo. We made the best of it and Rob took me to the hospital for treatment so Terra and Tony could finish getting her packed for Japan. We got home around 1:00, just in time for Rob to catch a few hours before taking Terra to the airport at 4:00. She was one of the lucky ones that had to fly through Chicago. We had prayed for good weather. What we didn't pray for was a seat. They had overbooked and she did not have a seat. New set of prayers. Two hours later she did have a seat and they were waiting for some delayed planes to get in before they could leave. The last we heard from her, she was boarding the plane for her long 24 hour commute to Masawa. It looks like her plane got out before all of the closings in Chicago. Thank God once again for answering prayers. I can't even imagine how awful it would have been for her to have gotten stuck at the airport.
We go again in the morning for chemo and then get to spend Christmas eve at the hospital for a treatment. That ought to be fun. More lemon aide! We don't know what this means for Christmas day, but hopefully the doctor will give us a green light to spend at least a few hours with family. It all depends on those temperamental blood counts. More prayers!
Wishing you all the best of the holidays. Hugs!!!

I laughed and laughed about the Casebolt form of laughing at anything when you're tired. That is so true!

I hope your chemo is going well and that you'll get to spend some time with family on Christmas day.

Recieved your card in the mail last week. Too cute! Thanks!

Love you and hope to see you soon.

Diana you are such a trooper! All you would hear from me would be grumble, grumble, grumble and than some more grumbling. Thank you for sharing your journey- you are such an inspiration. Much Love and Merry Christmas, Beth
